Actifed syrup contain two active ingredients, pseudoephedrine (a decongestant) and triprolidine (a sedating antihistamine). It is Indicated for treating of runny nose and nasal congestion.
Pseudoephedrine reduces blood flow through blood vessels in the walls of nasal passages and sinuses thus preventing congestion while Triprolidine antagonises the effect of histamine thus preventing manifestation of allergic symptoms.
